Yeah it's based on his book. I wouldn't call it a "Z" trend though... "Z" is a pretty obvious thing to put for zombie. I wouldn't really give anyone credit for thinking of using "Z" to mean zombie.

Well, if you have 3 games using the "Z" and being zombie titles it seems to be a fad (at least that's the way I'm thinking).

The War Z
Day Z
Code Z

It's starting to imply that Z means *only* zombie and nothing else, if that makes sense? After all, Left 4 Dead and Resident Evil are popular zombie franchises and older than all 3 of those titles, but neither include "Z" in their naming.

Shaun of the Dead came out before "world war Z" and used "Z day" to name the zombie apocalypse. I don't think a few games using it really means anything tongue.gif.

Well.. Neither the War Z or Code Z are really legitimate.

There are a lot of terrible, rubbish games on Steam; so one has to ask them self, how much did WarZ have to suck for it to get removed!? lachen.gif

it got removed because it was released on steam under the title of a full game but no where did it say it was actually a very early beta that would slowly progress into the full game. Therefore the verdict was said false advertising and Steam simply said come back when the game is done.

Actually, that wasn't the case. Sergey specifically said he felt it was ready to leave beta (no matter how much people say it's still in beta). It was taken off for many reasons, not just false advertising. Steam actually allowed Hammerpoint to correct the false information on the page, but more and more complaints flooded in to the point where Steam had no choice but to take the game off or risk their own reputation. The whole "come back when it's finished" thing is just them being professional. It more or less just had to do with the sh**storm that followed its "foundation release" so yes, it was because the game is that bad.
