Zalman CNPS9900MAX Normal Idle Speed?

Anyone know the factory idle speeds on the Zalman CNPS9900MAX?

I idle at around 1350RPM without the RC7P resistor connected

and around 1150 with it connected.

Newegg states:
RC7P Connected: 900 - 1,500 rpm ±10%
RC7P Not Connected: 900 - 1,700 rpm ±10%

Why am i not seeing these numbers?

Ok i just changed some stuff in my BIOS

So i set the fan to Custom Fan Speed and set it to the lowest setting (1 out of 255)

Now it idles at 700ish RPM and maxes out with P95 @ 1680ish RPM

Is this ok? Nice and quiet at idle. (actually dead silent)

HI there,

I have the same problem with my CNPS 9900 MAX.
My idle CPU fan speed is around 1050-1100 RPM... and I cannot make it lower... I tried to setup "silent" mode in BIOS, update BOIS, etc...
My mobo is Gigabyte H87-HD3

What kind of motherboard do you have?

Thanks!
