How much is your budget for this computer??

I would watch with that Corsair. They are hit or miss with the ASUS P5B Deluxe.

This is a common misconception, unfortunately.

There are two main forms of desktop RAID used today.

RAID 0: This splits your data over two drives, theoretically doubling your data throughput. So yes, in theory, this would speed up your system. So, as you can see, either option isn't particularly useful for desktop users. There are hybrid options (RAID 0+1 or RAID 5) but again, for 99.9% of desktop users, it's not a useful option. Stick with a good quality single drive
