Cable for Akasa Cold Cathode Kit

Hi everybody I have recently bought online an Akasa AK-178-RD Cold cathode Red kit but when it turned up I found a big problem; the included cables are way too short to allow me mount it in the top of my HAF-X case and they are White (tube to inverter) and Red/Yellow/Black (inverter to Molex/Switch). I need a black cable from at least the tube to the inverter of about 32 inches. Does anybody know of cables I can obtain ready made in the United Kingdom to allow me to do this? They are standard 2 pin connectors found on most inverters.

I have despaired of finding an extension cable (they are available in the USA but not in the UK) so I have soldered in a 25 inch extension cable but now I find that the CCFL doesn't light up for its full length. It only lights for 4/5ths of its length and isn't as bright. Is there any reason for this?
