FSB:DRAM ratio question

Thread Starter
Hi,

my dram frequency dropped from 200MHZ to 186.2 after I overclocked the cpu, now the ratio is 1:1 but does that means my dram performance has dropped? How to get 4:5 ratio?

thanks

Sounds like your motherboard's memory settings are on auto.

I personally like the performance of a little bit less cpu clock and a little higher mem freq, see attachment.

LOL and atomic is right, I didnt see that.

its cause you have a high multi and a low FSB, you can lower your multi and raise the FSB and you can get your memory speeds back up if you running 1:1. Other wise you can change the ratio and see what you can get.

You should have an option in the bios for multiplyer and FSB reduce multiplyer and increase FSB

hmmm, let me try to find more info on your motherboard. Then ill edit this post.

does your bios look like this?

how about this?

If so you have to set "Dynamic Overclocking" To manual.

CPU ratio is your multiplyer, and CPU bus is your FSB

the first one is correct, the cpu ratio is locked I can't set anything pressing up and down arrow. and my bus clock cannot over 200, bios will be unable to boot.
