3570k OC @ 4.5

Currently have my 3570k overclocked to 4.5 @ 1.288V. I know the VCore is a bit high but that's the most stable I can get it without WHEA errors -- with offset at +0.005 and turbo boost at about +0.049. Temps are low 80's after 10 hours of P95. (LLC is at 2)

I was wondering if using fixed voltage without turbo would help this clock? I was at 4.4 with the same offset but only +0.008 turbo, so the Vcore jumps are becoming large. Any opinions would help

It could.

If you don't mind full voltage all the time, then it's worth a try.

All chips have a limit. You might have just met yours.

Yeah was just wondering since I read some people prefer fixed over offset. But I think I may have just maxed out, since the VCore jumps are getting bigger and bigger, I'm assuming fixed won't have much of a difference. I'll try 4.6~4.7 at the same VCore again or a bit higher, but I'm pretty sure they'll fail. It was fun while it lasted biggrin.gif

Finally reached my max. Stable 4.6 @ 1.320 VCore. I know the voltage may be high, but that's the best I can get it. Temps are 86 at hottest core and 79 at lowest.
