Overall amazing product and I recommend it. (plus fits 7950 with 7950 pcb reference design)
So what kind of loop/radiator do you have? I have a single XSPC EX360 radiator cooling both a 3570K and my 7970 using this block and a Raystorm for the CPU. My idle temperature for the GPU is much higher at 34-35 C, although it rarely goes above 42 C, a few games as high as 45 C. Of course I got a bad luck of the draw and neither my GPU or CPU overclock that high even with water cooling, but things are much quieter at least. My CPU requires alot of voltage just to be stable at 4.5ghz (+0.055 offset), and my GPU only overclocks to 1130 core, 1600 memory (was running at 1200 core, 1750 memory but I started getting some artifacts in games that really push the computer like Witcher 2 and Crysis 2 DX11).
I really like the combination of cooler + backplate, it looks so nice, plus it does a good job of keeping the GPU in the low 40s.
