Why do you think Windows dominates the world? If they could actually eliminate piracy Windows would lose its position.

I'm loving Windows 8 personally. Runs great, boots fast, and works awesome.
I spent the lats 2 days trying to get Linux to run on my second hard drive and, after trying multiple distros (openSUSE, Linux Mint, Ubuntu, Pear OS) I still couldn't get a working install. People rave about Linux and I even ran Mint as me desktop OS for a few years but that is ridiculous. I have mainstream hardware that isn't bleeding edge and the top distros still won't work. Why would I even consider using it if I can't depend on it? Ever since Vista I haven't had a single software issue with my PC.
I love Mint but there's no way I would replace Windows with any Linux distribution on a permanent basis. Skype on Windows works flawlessly, Linux is another story altogether, with the webcam and mic randomly not working and other problems. I do agree that as portable OS and for older hardware there is no better OS than Linux but to say that one can simply do away with Windows is pretty far fetched.
And yes, it was Steve Jobs quoting Picasso. The irony is that this same $teve Job$ then went on to sue people who 'stole' the idea's he had stolen himself.
Edit: does Win 8 have native USB 3 support? What I mean is can a USB drive be used in the USB 3 port to install Win 8? This is one limitation of Win 7 that irritates me a little.Edited by Liranan - 1/20/13 at 10:46pm
