[EuroGamer]Playstation 4 specifications unmasked - Page 22

Why are people comparing Dual $200+ gpus compared with $200+ cpu systems to a Console.

The only systems that can really be compared to consoles are $500 system because fo price not $1000+

If anything the PS4 sounds REALLY expensive and I don't think sony can afford considering how the compnay as a whole is doing.

Because consoles are sold at a loss for the first 12-18months...

I can't build a PC like that...

If you remember there were reports that each PS3 was costing Sony $1000 to make and they were selling it at $600

That was the Ps3, its not the only comsole. The wii and xbox 360 made profit. Even though the xbox 360 profit was very small to start with.

Even 360 was sold at a loss to begin with.... Microsoft just wasn't losing as much per console as Sony was.

Call me what you like but I'm not the one spreading wrong information....

MS lost a bunch of money with the RROD and the 3 year warranties they gave everyone. Something that Sony would never have done. And was the main loss of income not that the console costed to much to make.

360 started making money well before the ps3. The Falcon and Jasper Revisions brought RROD down and the smaller chips had much better yield. Even the first ps3 slim consoles weren't selling for much profits at first. Though that was only for the first few months till they got production down. The entire line up of fat ps3 consoles lost sony money.

Did I give a time period as to when 360 became profitable?

Did I even talk about RROD?

I stated that 360 was sold at a loss to begin with, which it was unlike what bencher claimed, and can you please explain what I said was misinformation? Because I would really like you to prove it.

So please but out of conversations that don't concern you.

Is that really trolling though? He's not really comparing the Xbox to the PS3 he's just showing that both consoles were being sold a loss to begin with. The same thing happened with the original Xbox and the PS2. The Wii and Gamecube on the other hand were sold at basically break even prices or better.

Ok so I just did some research to make sure I wasn't wrong.

At launch it costed Microsoft $310 to make a 360 that they were selling for $299.

Microsoft was honest or clear about how much they were making or losing.
