Bought a Q9550 and been trying to get it to 4ghz but it has been hard to get stable.. settling on 3.94 .
Here is my overclock. I haven't done any V-mods yet, but I might next week when I rip my rig down.

i see, here is my current

I turned up the gpu a little more.
Only issue is bioshock infinite crashes here and there with overclocking, so i have to turn it down for that game.

Then you aren't 100% stable. My clock is 100% stable with every game I have (Haven, Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, AC3, F@H, etc.) and doesn't go above 40c. I need more voltage, but my VRMs are HOT! I just found my IR meter so I'll get an actual reading here soon. My missing IR meter has been the only thing holding me back from doing the pencil mod so I'll be doing some more tweaking and testing next week.

On THIS page they say the following :
(google translated)

"The power supply system exists of two phases for the GPU and one - for the memory. VDDC (CPU voltage) is controlled by a chip uPI Semiconductor uP1728P."

My friend picked up a asus twin cooler 650 ti 1gb, and from his picture i notice the board is longer. I wonder if there is any advantage to that model over my short evga ..... https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc1/600869_10151474816212444_779410718_n.jpg

Wasn't this thread about voltmodding the GTX650ti instead of measuring the length of a card ? tongue.gif

Pretty sure I just killed my card.
I was re-mounting my cooler and the gay little blue plastic thing that goes around the die popped up as I was mounting it. Needless to say I thought I had a great mount when actually it was only touching in one tiny corner. It was idling a few degrees high but noting alarming so I went to run a low resolution haven test. Whole comp shut down and now I get no video. I'll do more testing and checking tomorrow, but I'm already scouting for a new card.
If anyone wants to do some poking around for a vmod on this card I'll gladly give it to someone for the cost of a flat rate box. If not the die will probably become a case badge.
