Bought a Q9550 and been trying to get it to 4ghz but it has been hard to get stable.. settling on 3.94 .
Here is my overclock. I haven't done any V-mods yet, but I might next week when I rip my rig down.

i see, here is my current

I turned up the gpu a little more.
Only issue is bioshock infinite crashes here and there with overclocking, so i have to turn it down for that game.

Then you aren't 100% stable. My clock is 100% stable with every game I have (Haven, Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, AC3, F@H, etc.) and doesn't go above 40c. I need more voltage, but my VRMs are HOT! I just found my IR meter so I'll get an actual reading here soon. My missing IR meter has been the only thing holding me back from doing the pencil mod so I'll be doing some more tweaking and testing next week.

On THIS page they say the following :
(google translated)

"The power supply system minimalist two phases for the GPU and one - for the memory. VDDC (CPU voltage) is controlled by a chip uPI Semiconductor uP1728P."
