Coupled with jaw dropping Input Lag! The entire Android phones is complete joke. Nothing against the OS but still its Java bs. Can't create native 3d applications without skipping the Java layer.

wow those are some amazing specs. makes the 2 year old top end smartphones look like feature phones in comparison.
however the specs are overkill coz most applications today dont even utilize the quad core cpu's fully let alone 8 cores.
also will this be a true octa core or 4 hyperthreaded cores ?

damnnnnn my next phone. I've always said this with a new release lol. I need to get rid of this 3gs. still runs great with iOS 6 lol

It basically is a quad-core. I believe there's 4 low-power cores and 4 normal ones, and the device switches the load between the two sets depending on demands. This is obviously for battery life I would assume. But yeah I don't think it uses any more than 4 cores at any given time.

4 are high power cores, 4 are low power cores. Only 4 are active at any given time. Basically it's a power saving feature. But I don't get why they can't do something like dynamic frequency scaling? Is there really that much of a power consumption difference?

You can skip Java for developing applications, but only non-UI ones.
