X1950 pro overclocking

Thread Starter
Alright, attempting to overclock a pair of X1950 pros, but even with a 5mhz overclock there is a hard freeze. Afterburner fails to find the cards, AtiTool same deal. Ati tray tools fails to launch at all, and rivatuner causes hard locks when overclocking.

Anyone have a solution?

Benching for what though? You wouldn't get a great score even with a high overclock, maybe if you were doing a LN2 sesh. tongue.gif

Its been a while since I oc'ed my X1950 Pro. I've checked some of the screenshots I took at the time and I used ATITool 0.27 with XTreme-G WarCat 7.4 drivers under WinXP. With these, I was able to run stable @ 627 / 756 (Core / Memory).

Ah, if only them being old made overclocking them any less fun.redface.gif

I remember my old X1950.
I had the same Sapphire Ultimate Silent.
Good times.
