about 55-70% in far cry 3. I have played mp quite a bit. I play competitively as well. Cutting 2 cores will even drop my fps a little in bf3 mp. cutting it down to four is about a 25% loss in fps.

BF3 MP BENEFITS from having more than 4 cores. I cant post any brnchmarks because im on my phone but there are dozens of benchmarks tht have proved this over and over again.

Edit: Did some FC3 gameplay. 35-45% CPU usage.

Yeah it has been beaten to death by fanboi's but the results are right, also your comment about BF3 not being able to utilise more than 4 cores is inaccurate,

8 cores are being utilised by more than 50% if you had 8 cores being utilised at less than 50 percent then I would accept that but reality is that it is utilising between 60 and 80% of the 8 cores, in fact the only reason why it is not higher is my 2 hd 7970's were bottlenecking the 8350.

whilst intel paid review sites tell you that Intel is masively better, it's not for the same £$, yes it is better at starcraft at 640 X 480 and anything similar to that but any real world application there is not a huge difference. obviously 3770k and above then AMD do not manufacture anything to rival that and if you have the money and want the performance then go for it!!

FC3 it could be that 3770K its so fast it does not utilize more then 35-40% whiles FX-8350 has to works super hard with all 8-Cores to keep up. I have not checked 3770K usage in BF3 but when i had 3570K it was 85-90% while GPU usage was not very high. That being said adding 3770K to my system GPU usage and fps did not change.

PCI-E3.0 offers as much benefit as upgrading from Sandy to Ivy right now, it is near zero with a very few exceptions to it.

I have to ask, what has your CPU got to do with multimonitor support?
Fist you dont care about benchmarks and now you do all of a sudden?.... why do you feel the need to push your old cpu that uses a dead socket on other people? Intel made ivy because it better...... 3570k isbetter than your dated 2500k my 2cents.gif

you are so wrong with this comment its not even funny..... I dont know why you keep posting this... it is a well known fact that BF3 does use up to 8 on multiplayer, another game is crysis 2, dirt 3.... shall I go on? stop spewing this false information

Exactly where did I care about benchmarks? Do tell please.
I simply explained what those things help in, they offer no benefit in gaming at all.

If you have no plans on delidding your 3570K and voiding your warranty then it is just bad compared to a 2500K.

Stop living in denial, only way the 3570K can compete with the 2500K in gaming is when delidded.

It is pretty clear to me if I needed performance now and I was planning on buying Haswell later I would buy a used 2500K in an instant, they are cheap and they work.
