Two 690s if you wanna just pimp

Four 680s if you want the best performance, but probably the most frustrations and sacrificing one or two GPUs in game since most titles out today doesn't need four GPUs

Two/Three 680s if you want great performance but not deal with the hassles of four

Game performance doesn't lie and 680s are anywhere from 5~20% faster than the 670s. So the question is you're willing to give up some performance to have Nvidia's flagship chip for this series; which brings us too...

Two/Tri 670s if you can't do the 680s (and if you're thinking of dual 690s you can afford the 680s)
