Pushing Asus HD7950 further

Hello,

I have a OC 'problem' with my Asus HD7950 DCII Top. I run the card at 1070/1700 on 1100mv stable. I would like to push it even more, but whenever I do, it becomes unstable. This is how Afterburner looks now:

When I put it to 1100MHz, and the voltage to 1250mV, I get a lot of artifacts. Even on 1070MHz with 1250mV I get artfacts(on 1100 mV not). Raising the voltage should give more stability, as far as I know. Am I doing something wrong, or is this the limit of my card? Is there anything to improve the stability on higher speeds?

Tnx,

MAD.

it depends on the chip. maybe your chip is a poor overclocker. some chips can not take beyond a certain voltage . these chips won't cross a certain clockspeed even with extra voltage and will start artifacting badly. tough luck.

If I update the bios of the GPU, would that make any sense in terms of OC ability?
