The point of this thread is to update it as current as possible to run the most efficient as possible, not reuse unless its needed i.e the processor, psu, case. To be blunt, only 1 person has give anything close to the original topic. I am not trying do with what I have, I have my own thoughts on how I can update around the processor, I am looking for imput on other ideas I have not thought of . I guess after saying it 2 different times its still not clear.

I am doing this just to do it.

I think that you don't know what to ask. You already have the cpu, mobo, cooler and ram, why spend more, if this is only going to be a server. Throw one of the 9600 away. No use waisting electricity for nothing.

You don't need 200ideas, you only have to make sense. Why spend up to $150.00 on a 6 years old clunker, if you have all the parts readily available?
