I have the same case in my build log but i kinda hacked mine up a little biggrin.gif

As for power supply's
i like my corsair hx 850 id reccomend that
And coolers id use a rasa kit to watercool.

And for the gpu i would spend 300$ on one card imho the new generation are leaps and bounds better than the 500 series.

Also reccomending getting the samsung wonder ram.
On a note on the case, the sidefan pushes in alooooot of dust.

What kind of Raza stock number would fit on my AM3+ socket with 150MM restrictions? I just looked at the Raza and it looked pretty awesome and easy to mount. I don' want to hack my case up yet.

I was considering a XFX Black 850w..I don't think there is much difference in the Corsair...just watching prices now as I don't want to get distracted and sell my left arm lol. If I spend $300 on a GPU I would have to find a deal like---$350 GPU at a special 1 day only $250. Paying over $300 is gonna hurt my feelings...lol
Now I am going to check reviews on the XFX vs the Corsair lol...

I'd go with an expensive corsair personally...

They are both within $10 of each other...well that is what I can get them for....I agree as XFX has a Manufacturer for their unit (Seasonic) unlike Corsair which has total control over the manufacturing of their units...so Corsair 850w. it looks like so far...
Thanks

For a cooler you are going to not only look at case clearance but RAM clearance, I am pretty sure the heatsinks on that RAM will get in the way of a Hyper 212. I would look at a Corsair h80i (similar performance to the standard h100).

PSU.... 850 is insane. At full load that rig will use about 500W, so allowing some room you dont need anything more than a quality 600W or 650W (though finding a PSU with the correct connectors for your 2 GPU's may mean you end up buying a larger unit).

That information is great..I appreciate you checking for clearance...smile.gif

I am looking at the 7870 vs the gtx 480 which is $20 cheaper with similar benchmarks...hmmm

And go with the Rosewill Capstone for $90 which is a Super Flower-based unit and you're good, through 650W is far overkill here.

Corsair doesn't make any PSU, they're all rebrands from Seasonic/CWT/Flextronics but I do not see how that's a buying factor since a Corsair-rebranded-Seasonic will be the exact same as the corresponding Seasonic unit for example.

Only reason I am going at least 850w is to do some potential future proofing..just in-case i do SLi and add more devices....according to the PSU calculators from various sites I need at least 800+w?

Your right, it wouldn't make a difference...I try to check re-brands to look for a name that is included that is known to have problems. Thanks

I just used this calculator and I put the 7870 as the card and I got a recommendation to have a min. 750W....

http://support.asus.com/powersupply.aspx

The single 7870 did reduce the power needs by 100w...I like what I am seeing so far.
