Meh i will keep my 3770K for at least 2 more years then upgrade then.

I am all for overkill and constantly improving but to swap high end cpu's every year is a little over the top!

I think my 2500k will last me for a few more years, no rush in upgrading.

My GPU will be the limiting factor anyways in the future.

The only way I will upgrade to this is if they finally include more than 2 SATA 3.0 ports on their next gen chipset, I am sick of being limited to 2 of them and having to rely on 3rd party controllers for the rest of my 3.0 compatible drives.

Also I would love to see gigabytes next gen G1. board and see what it offers over my current board.

I would love to see them overclock better than Ivy.

Also it all depends if I can sell off all my stuff....

something tells me I will wait it out till DDR4 support comes... but IDK I seem to upgrade my system every year (1090t in 2010, 2500K in 2011, 3770K in 2012, ???? in 2013)

Oh crap.... well I am doomed to upgrade then.... lol

Why it took them this long to finally do that... IDK... but AMD has had that forever now (2010 I think...)... Finally Intel catches up. That's one thing I remember my AMD 890FX board had (6 Native 3.0 ports) and my last 2 Intel boards lacked.

He's referring to SATA 6GB/s. I'd say it is, it's already being used by SATA drives.

Im still on 1366...

Honestly I don't see myself upgrading my main computer until the low end cpu's start to beat out my cpu. But wow, exciting times ehh?

Ha, I'm with you on that! I'm still rocking my c0 920. I'll probably keep this old dog around for a couple more years... No point in upgrading, I'm still faster than everyone I know O_o Maybe I'll consider upgrading after they release ddr4
