Now that I have a better processor is it better to go with windows 7 64 bit? I have 32 bit now and I have 2 extra gigs of ram that aren't installed. Will it be a lot better? Or just stay with 32? I have 4 gigs installed right now.

put them, you will be much better with 6gb, even if you lose dual channel.

I was going to suggest overclocking what you have...

Your processor doesn't support over 1600 MHz RAM, so it downclocks the memory. I believe all the FX chips support up to 1866 with a little tweaking, and even higher with even more tweaking if you bump up the NB voltage. When you get your new proc, try bumping the memory to 1866 without adjusting the NB and see what happens (Memtest it, assuming it posts, or at least run Prime95 for a while). If it doesn't post or fails stress tests, either take it back down to 1600 or bump the NB a little. I can't offer much advice on how exactly you should do it, other people here can though.

You should be able to get it to 1866 without tweaking the NB, but you still might have to set it manually. To get it to the native 2133 would definitely require some adjustments, but I've seen people with FX chips make it all the way up to 2400 stable.
