Which O-Rings to reduce noice (NightHawk X8, Brown switches) ?

Thread Starter
Hi all,

I want to install O-Rings on my NH X8 mechanic keyboard. I have brown switches and I want to reduce noice as much as possible and at the same time to keep the typing experience (feeling).

Will the Red 40A-L be the best for the job ?

Thanks

I have a MX-Brown WASD keyboard with the 40A-L dampers... based on my use of other MX-Brown keyboards these are perfect as the bottoming out noise is greatly reduced while the change in key feel is minimal.

I also have a Rosewill MX-Red keyboard that i fitted 50A-R dampers on it quieted it down but it changed the key feel quite a bit.

I would based on my experience at first hand say go for the 40A-L dampers for sure.

Great info here!

I have a Filco tenkeyless with browns that I absolutely love! I actually ordered the black 50A-R orings from WASD several months ago and have been pleased with the results. I noticed a slight change but the noise reduction was worth it IMO. I just ordered a CM Storm Trigger with blues for work and came across this trying to determine the best hardness for blue switches. Now I'm wanting to buy even more to try something different on my Filco... this is sickening! LOL
