Well, what temps are you getting with 4.7Ghz? Are the H100s any good?

I'm deciding between H100i and XSPC Raystorm 750 RX360 for my future bulid.

raystorm by far i think!!!

Well, I do have a Over-Temperature protection in my BIOS, I left it at auto because I'm not sure what is the difference between 12.5%, 25%, 100%, and etc.

I know the Raystorm will give me lower temps, but is it worth it at twice the price?

Since you have a 8350 and a Raystorm, what temperature are you getting at what speeds and voltages?

well gaming i run at 5ghz and temps dont go over 45C

stress testing at 5ghz i have to stick in full 1.58 vcore and temps are 55C-60C depending which program i use.

if i stick it at 4.8ghz temps dont go above 43C full load

Very nice, now I'll just have to save up enough money to get a the RayStorm, and probably a new mobo and CPU when SteamRollers comes out, or maybe the Boardwell.

I think you need to disable something called "APM"

I already have APM disabled, now I'm thinking that I maxed out my motherboards power phases, because the CPU wattage calculator is telling me that I'm using more than 180 Watts of power if I overclock to 4.6Ghz.

I got a 4+1 btw.

Yes you are maxed out on your board.

4+1 is not good for overclocking, no matter what that user told you if its a good 4+1 board then you dont need 8+2 lol thats crap man.

If you are thinking about a raystorm then i'd go with a good board if you can afford both. You really dont want to limit yourself to a cheapo board if u go water.

I had a asus M5a99x evo board before my sabertooth R2.0 board and if you are on air its a good board. Most i got out of it was 4.8 stable on air. 4.9 kept downclocking cpu like yours is now.

I changed to watercooling and got the sabertooth and never looked back.

Cool, do you think the ASRock Fatality (12 phase) will give me any extra overclcoking headroom or is it unnecessary?
