For the last few days I have been extensively comparing these two and still cannot really choose the right one. Im looking for the lowest possible acceleration, and high precision. I've invested into Razer Destructor 2 and want to create the perfect bundle.

Taipan is solid and quiet heavy from what i know, DA on the other hand is quiet weightless. I already own a Da 3.5G and love it, especially the palm grip. I only play FPS games, including Bf3 and CS 1.6/CS:S. Acceleration plays quiet a big role here. Right now im using some mousefix to remove the acceleration.

Whats your opinion on these two?

Sensor performance for the DA 2013 is quite flawless. Don't own a taipan. Someone else can attest to it's sensor tracking.

Honestly, just choose the one that is more comfortable in your hand.

I got the Taipan a few days ago, still getting used to it. Tracking is better than my Imperator 4G so far, no more randoms mouse jumps to the corner. I play at 1800DPI/500Hz by the way.

I've had my Deathadder for the last few years and it really is quality made, havent had any problems. Im not into steelseries at all, I thought about buying Sensei but after all did not. Im preety used to razer thumb.gif
post #6 of 19
I own both and Taipan suites me. The most accurate in response. I also have the Imperator 4G and it's just sitting on the corner collecting dusts. I think Imperator 4g is the worst mouse of all the razer products.

The vast majority of the FPS elite usually think that any avago 9800 or 9500 sensor based mouse is a no-go due to the native acceleration which cannot be disabled.

I'd go with a razer deathadder if I were you. Some people are talking about a spin-bug though, maybe get the 3.5g version to be safe.

If you like a smaller ambi mouse, I have the razer krait and absolutely love it.

OP Already has a 3.5g DA. The new one is more or less the same mouse with different color backlighting. The dpi is increased and so far everyone seems to like it. There are a few good reviews floating around about it.

So, Deathadder 2013 is quiet the same as 3.5G with the difference of DPI, Weight and lift-off distance?
How about taipan? It seems like a solid mouse, good quality, 4g and 8200dpi.
