There's also the V3x...

Ain't gonna copy-paste it all here, but your best bet is to NOT buy a RAZR. They really aren't a very good phone for the cost.

I can tell you that the V3m's are Verizon's and they have V-Cast. The Red one is a buy one get one free (support the fight for cancer, I believe).

Agreed. Motorola has not been putting out very good stuff lately, in particular the RAZR and the KRZR... Both are lame compared to similar Samsung and LG models.

Most of them are just different colors/design. The insides are mostly same only some has more memory and video and that kinda stuff..

RAZR V3 - original, usually just silver
RAZR V3c - can be silver/black IIRC, comes with upgraded firmware, sometimes a better camera
RAZR V3i - the itunes version, has a good mp3 player function, usually better camera, most carriers allow the use of SD flash cards for more memory
RAZR V3i DG - I have no clue, but basically the same as V3i
RAZR V3x - a special, different RAZR, supported 3d graphics, very enhanced, Ive never seen one IRL
RAZR V3m - the best RAZR out aside from the V3x. better camera, more space, most use the SD cards IIRC, and has a more stylish front LCD display with blinking blue M logo
RAZR V3m RED - same as above, special red casing
RAZR V3r - the newer of the razr series, went backwards a bit in terms of bootloads/software, overall less space/features than the V3i/V3m - but with newer menu and newer skins, I own one of these. t-mobile style
RAZR V3t - the t-mobile exclusive, basically a V3i t-mobile branded for use with that myfaves BS they are offering... much better than the v3r t-mobile offers, more memory, bigger camera (v3c/v3i camera IIRC) and comes in BLACK!

EDIT: about the cost:functionality ratio for a moment. This is a MODDERS PHONE... unless you plan on going nuts editing stuff, this phone doesnt really do much. Also, never pay retail for a RAZR, it honestly isnt worth that much. But for 100-120$, its the best damn phone on the market, unless you dont care for wide phones. Good functionality if you are used to moto's usual interface, very fun to hack/mod.

EDIT2: The V3i DG is the special GOLD cased Dolce - Grabana edition phone... its shiny as hell, but doesnt offer any extra functionality, I hear there is also a matching gold bluetooth.

I love my RAZR V3 (black). It's great for what I use it for...to make calls! I send about 10 text messages a month and probably 40 calls a month, works fine for what I need it for. I love how small it is, and it's nice to have when riding off road because you can't feel it. It is slow however, if you want to do web browsing, stay away from it. But it charges fast, lasts a long time and doubles as a killer alarm clock.
