Question About Raid

Thread Starter
I was just wondering is it a bad idea to RAID a SSD and a normal HDD in say raid 0 would that cause problems. I own the Asus Crosshair Formula-Z and would it work better to use the SSD as a boot drive and use 2 HDD in raid without the SSD??

Don't raid a SSD and a HDD.
I would install windows on the SSD and have 1 HDD for all the rest of your stuff. Then, have the other HDD on standby to make frequent backups of data via a hard drive enclosure for convinient access to the drive.
