Acrylic etching, first attempt

not bad!

This is a "front door" for my HTPC, i wanted a practice run on a peice of acrylic that i wouldnt mind if i completely screwed up.

custom design. I like how it came out.

What tools did you use for the actual etching?
Are you going to drill some LEDs into the edges?

i used a rotary tool (dremel). akward but suprisingly efficiant.
I think i could have got a more polished look if i had sandpaper available.

For this peice i dont plan to put LEDs in cause
a) its on the outside of the case, i dont want to rout the wires outside
b) there are 2 large LED bars on the front of the case anyways that should light it up pretty good on their own (havent tested yet)

but eventualy i WILL be modding my case window and i will light that up. Its gonna be sweet smile.gif

i just need to create a design that im happy with seeing for several hours a day beside me hehe
