1. Its not recommended to use it by AMD officials, since the real 13.2 beta will have much more fixes.
2. I was able to reproduce flickering with it on Skyrim.

+ i doubt that those games were still flickering with 12.11 there are still games with flickering. Just check out CS:GO and equip the Bomb the Map on St. Marc. There is strange flickering happening on the Bomb looking like Z-fighting and may lead into fullscreen flickering.

Been using 13.2 since it was leaked.

For me, it does not fix this happening in Skyrim.

So please don't interpret something working for you as working for everyone and it being ok to close this thread.

Just wanted to add that i also suffer from the issues described by many people in this thread (and the one over at guru3d) either on 12.11 or 13.1

Offler's post pretty much sums up my issues those being

Black flashing/flickering
White/multi colour poly that randomly pop up
Checker board'ed surfaces instead of textures
Alpha blend/Z-Fighting

Screen glitches in windows when using Aero or Firefox (with H/W accel on)

Ive seen one or more of those issues in many DX9 games inc Res Evil 5,Portal II,Dishonored,Batman AC,BF3,BF2BC,FC3,Skyrim,Euro truck sim2

Skyrim seems to suffer badly from the first 4 of the above issues (Which i find really disappointing as Skyrim was the number 1 reason i updated to the 7970 from a 570) i can lessen a little it by using the 12.8 dll files dropped in the game dir. but its still there.

Euro truck Sim2 is by far the worst dx9 title ive tried yet and is pretty much unplayable on the 7970 atm constant flashing glitching no matter the settings

on the other hand ive played

Binary Domain,Transformers FOC/WFC,Alice Madness Returns & DarkSiders II for hours on end and not seen a single issue.

Temp's are always under 75 (core and Vram) either running at stock or with core OC'ed issues still occur.

I held off a full year from getting a 7970 hopping AMD would have worked out the driver kinks for it by now but unless the 13.2 (proper) beta's really clean up or cure the above issues the 7970 will share the same fate as my last ATI card (4870) which was RMA'ed to be replaced with an nV card.

I haven't noticed any flickering at all accept rarely in Borderlands 2 but not often enough to reproduce it every time. However after starting up CS:GO and holding the bomb on St Marc the flickering happens every time as others have already pointed out. Haven't tried other drivers but 13.1. Hopefully AMD will eventually get round to fixing this.

I have to agree with Stuttergame, this thread and the one like it a guru3d are to help ppl try and find out why they have these issues and maybe that data can help AMD nail it down once and for all

@bigosik : Have you even read back through this thread?

There is an issue AMD know about it and its been stated that it not hardware related, also im confused because over at guru3d you made posts stating that 13.2 beta fixed your flickering issues,so you have infact stated that you had the issue your now telling other ppl to shut up about.....which i find a little bizarre.

Just like to throw my hat into the mix. I've been having DX9 stuttering as well running 13.2. The only reason I chose to run 13.2 was because 13.1 was artifacting TERRIBLY in Skyrim. And it wasn't random either. I could consistently repeat it through loading and reloading the same save after resetting my card to stock clock, raising voltage, everything. The Witcher 2 EE was especially bad. The cave where Iorveth talks to Letho at the very beginning of the game saw some of the heaviest artifacting I've ever seen. I'm running a MSI 7950 overclocked to 1 GHZ on stock voltage ATM and I average around 60-67c depending on the game

Yeah i had the issue with MSI Lightning R7970.

...with HIS HD7970 IceQ 1ghz Edi everything is fine. thumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif

Its not a Driver issue, ! Its a problem of some cards, hardware incompatibility, bad overclocking etc.

I can't for the life of me reproduce DX9 flickering on any of those systems, or stuttering in Far Cry 3! [/B]Smooth as silk, no flashing... nothing! And let me tell you, I've been playing Civ5-DX9/Skyrim/Dishonored all week trying to get something on my end to happen.

That says it all.redface.gif
