Which makes it ridiculous that ppl are happy to get more than one Titan card and SLI them...
I could see you wanting to do without SLI cause it might cause you trouble...so as it stands 680 < Titan < 690 < SLI 680 -> titan = best all SLI solution.
If you are to SLI the 1st place, why not get the already announced to be better 690?

More VRam? That's it? Cause you realize that the GK110 is 2x 104 combined more or less...it is not "new architecture" - at least not for gaming purposes (which is all SLI is usable at).

Ppl acting so excited proves that it is nothing but an e-peen game

Scaling on four GPUs is usually notably worse than two. Also, I'd start to worry about latency with four GPUs. You can't even do AFR across a quad GPU setup without it pre-rendering at least four frames.

You do realize that the TDP of "Titan" is only up about 25% compared to a GTX 680, right? 75% performance increase while TDP only goes up 25%, and they're all on the 28nm process....

That's wishful thinking. Not going to happen.

GTX 680 GK104 is an average GPU produced in high numbers.
Titan will be Nvidia`s Elite GPUs, meaning Nvidia probably will bin the flawless dies for Titan.
Architectural improvements and refined tech for GK110 and the 700 series.

TDP of GTX 480 was 250W. TDP of GTX 580 was 243W yet was 15% faster.

Who knows...

If that's the case "Titan" probably carries the designation of GTX 785 Titan/Titanium, then 780 is either 785 with more diabled(14->11-12) SMX or a GK114(10 SMX?) based card selling in the same $500 range with more freedom for aftermarket design.

This "Titan" name did remind me that Nvidia's CEO JHH slipped while talking about Shield at CES and blurped out "Project Thor", so maybe Project Thor is connected to Project Titan or maybe the GK114 chip based GPU's name.

Where are you all getting the price from? Pure speculation since it's not in the first or second article, to my knowledge.

So let me get this straight, It's going to consume a ton of power (Don't care) Still lack compute capabilities and... cost 899 usd? Great 1500 australian for a single gpu, That price could get me 4 of whatever AMD is selling at the time.

It would suck if their top card featured a salvaged chip like the GTX 480 did.
