[TPU] NVIDIA to Name GK110-based Consumer Graphics Card "GeForce Titan" - Page 48

If you're getting two of these you'll need an i7. At least a 2600K I'd say...

I don't see why two of these with a 3570k mildly OC'ed and a PCI 3.0 mb should have any bottleneck. People get way too excited about hyper-threading for their gaming rigs.

Even with 680/7970's in SLI/CF its been proven that HT increases fps (especially with three or four cards). These cards will be substantially faster than those so the problem will be even worse. I bet a 3570K would bottleneck them...

Depends on the game but yeah, I'd generally like to have the full chip. I'd love me some SB-E for rendering or folding though biggrin.gif

I've seen something about this before, if you don't mind could you point me to an article/thread which details what's actually wrong with them?

I'm pretty sure there is a Youtube video of a 570 or 590 catching fire while under load. Think it was actually a review site video in fact. The 570 VRM issue had its own thread for a long time here on OCN (will look for it)...

The 570 was due to people taking off the overvolt safety in AB/Prescison and cranking it up to like >1.1. The 590 I think was driver related that caused it not to throttle properly or something.

You're thinking of the Sweclockers vid. And yeah it was a drivers problem.

Oh ok.

I Googled a fair bit about it but I couldn't find a single record that said that the gtx670/660ti uses bad circuitry
