It did loads thanks!
My board should be here tomorrow but my Keys are here now. Ordered keys from WASD and Qwerkeys before I ordered my board!thumb.gif

Nice! Thinking about modding even before it arrives. biggrin.gif

Also more submissions to the competition would be appreciated to anyone reading this thread, have a look through and submit a copy of the form. smile.gif

Look at OP and it is not obvious to me whether you submit your own keyboard or someone elses! There are 2 particular keyboards I have seen on this forum that I love:

1) Quick purchase and 4 keys away from achieving. Gorgeous and easily achievable!
2) Seems sprayed and completely custom, an inspiration to someone like me.

Both have their own pull.

What I am struggling with is:
Do I fill in the form in OP for each of these keyboards and then submit my own?
Does that mean I am 1 vote down for the off?
What happens if I don't think I should win over one of my own votes?
Can someone win by not even entering their own board?

You fill out the form for each keyboard you want to nominate for Keyboard of the Month. If you want to enter your own board more power to you. There will be a tally of nominated boards and the top boards will be placed on a poll the community will vote on. Once the polls are closed the winner will be announced. So nominate the ones you think should be crown KotM and may the best board win smile.gif

  • You must detail who owns the board, a description of the board and a link to the picture of the board aswell as who you are.
  • At the end of the month I will put up a poll of the 3 most popular boards and you can then vote for the winner.
  • The poll will be closed after a week of voting and the winner will be announced.
  • The winner gets their name immortalised in the OP and gets their board pictured in the OP for that month, I'm also working with some of the staff to try and get some kind of physical prize sorted.

You can submit a nomination for anyone's board on here, you should only submit a single nomination, which will then be added to the list of other nominations, at the end of the month I count how many nominations a particular board has and the 3 boards with the most nominations are put into a poll, where everyone can then vote for which they think should win.

Imagine it like the Oscars, nominations are obtained for many different actors, but only the top 4 or so are mentioned before a winner is crowned, kind of like that but on a much smaller scale.

So basically you do this:
  • See a modded board you like anywhere around the site;
  • Come to this page or the Mechanical Keyboard Club page and submit a nomination via the form;
  • Wait until the end of the month;
  • When the poll is up, vote for which of them you like the best.

This also means that if enough people nominate your board, you can win without nominating yourself.

I think that should answer everything, let me know if there are any more questions. smile.gif

But seriously, we need some more so we don't have more than 3 people in the poll. smile.gif

Does that board have any mods to it? You need to list them if so, if not it's not eligible. smile.gif
