Corsair Mini ITX? What do you want? - Page 27

Poll Results: Which features are most important to you in a Mini ITX case?

This is a multiple choice poll
  • 7% of voters (92)
    Size - the smaller the better. I don't need a full GPU, I want a HTPC-style box.
  • 77% of voters (1009)
Size - I want it to be small, but I want a full size GPU and full size PSU in there.
  • 11% of voters (154)
Air cooling - I want lots of fan options, top, sides, back, front.
  • 31% of voters (411)
Air cooling - I want it to perform well out of the box but we don't need to perforate every single panel.
  • 25% of voters (329)
"Sleek, Modern" Design - The BitFenix Prodiigy, NZXT Phantom Series, Corsair 600T and other cases with unique designs are my favorite.
  • 49% of voters (646)

HDD Capacity - I want to make a RAID or NAS box, so I want at least four 3.5" drive bays
  • 36% of voters (477)
HDD Capacity - I just plan on running an OS and a storage drive - two or three drive bays is fine as long as there's native SSD support.
  • 18% of voters (246)

  • 19% of voters (255)

oh, and Extreme editions, LGA2011, LGA1366.. you get it.
My z77e itx would like you to take a seat over here.

I got up to 5.1ghz overclock with not much effort.

And I bet I could get slightly higher on the MSI board I am using right now right now, at least the same overclock, I just have not tried yet.

Now I completely disagree with you... there's so many cases that are completely ruined by cheap tacky looking front panel connectors.

Just look how awful that looks..... if it had no front connectors they could of repositioned the 5.24" drive bays to the centre and made the case so much nicer and visually pleasing.

There's loads of cases that have the same problem... Cosmos S 2 is also ruined by ugly cheap ass front panel connectors on show that ruin the high end smooth lines of the case...

Just completely minging....

I agree to an extent, the gigas looks terrible with that little screw on plate and everything, but if they put the connectors behind a door it looks fine.

Fair enough, this board is very much an exception with it's daughter board, though. ;p

I'm running 5Ghz on a Zotac Z68 WiFi ITX board with a 2500k....

Intel chips do not require a beefy VRM set-up due to low power draw, even when overclocked they still pull <200w.

The asrock has no daughterboard, neither does the msi, or the evga or gigbyte or none of them.

The asus is the only mitx board with a daughterboard.

Which makes it the best OC iTX motherboard in my opinion. xD

Okay, okay. With this newfound knowledge I take back my works of miswisdom.
However I like having space for 2x graphics cards.
