Yo my bad on taking so long...I've havent been around my comp...The reason you were getting that sizing issue is because your trying to use a higher frequency then your pixel clock can handle. You need to lower your refresh rate until you get the same pixel clock as the top recommended resolution. Make sure you delete all the current monitors and then let it detect them again. It will automatically select the active display. Check the maximum pixel clock of your monitor/cards by selecting the top most resolution setting and looking at the bottom of the window that pops up it will say pixel clock 140 or 285.5 or something like that..that tells you what the maximum pixel clock frequency you can have is.

Now when setting up your custom res your gonna choose best for lcd from the top drop down and then simply add in your desired res in the boxes, then play with the refresh rate until you get a pixel clock that is even or lower then your number from above. Hit ok and it will automatically apply it and then restart and when you open up windows resolution setting or ccc it will allow you to select your new resolution.

***On a side note you may want to ditch fraps. I used to get that dx initialization error almost every other start up and could never figure out the problem. Recently I read that fraps injects itself into every 3d rendering dll it can find which can cause stability issues and that it also is causing problems with the newest catalyst drivers. I switched to afterburner and I don't see myself going back.

I can't use afterburner. Even if I don't touch the clocks just having it run causes my screens to flicker because it tampers with idle clocks.

I spent a fair bit of time on this yesterday and came up with a top resolution of 3840x2160 and it works in DMC very well. I get a strange error with binary domain though. I haven't tried it out on any other games yet.

Sadly, a single 670 really isn't enough to run 4K+.

Nuuuu. My typo got quoted... Too many numbers. I've settled on 3840x1620 for 21:9. Any larger on the horizontal and everything freaks out.

Oh I should mention that I was using 310.90 whql's for the first settings I posted. I haven't tried the newer .95/.96's with this yet, and since they are crap for gaming performance, I won't be bothering.


So when do we get IRLAA?
