I normally just run mine at native 1440 but at 80Hz, but really wanted to give downsampling a go.. I successfully got 3200x1800 @ 51 Hz with automatic timings thumb.gif
Just keep trying different refresh rates, 50 Hz wouldn't work on mine but 51Hz did, which is perfect because I'm playing NFS: Rivals which is locked at 30FPS anyway.

It's not locked anymore. And you'd be better off using the res scaling feature and maintaining your native res.

Yeah I tried that but I started getting weird glitches in certain places, so I just left it at 30 smile.gif

That's because it's falling below 60fps. Try setting it to 45 or whatever ridiculously odd frequency you have your monitor set too.. It glitches at 30fps in certain areas anyways. It needs a patch.

It never dropped below 60. Yes I did actually read everything about the "fix" as well, the game holds fine at 60 but still plays up. And I don't have any problems at 30 with my game smile.gif
Yes, it needs a patch, not a work around.

I have been trying to do this downsampling but it just does not work, my monitor is an asus VG248QE and whenever I changed the custom resolution to a 1440p it would pass the test but never show up in the control panel resolution as an option, as well there would be no higher option in any of my games... It is definitely not working on this monitor for some reason, because I have tested it on my 2nd monitor and it worked fine. but not on this one

one more thing that i noticed is in the 2nd monitor it said 2560x1440p, progressive while on my Asus VG248QE it only said 2560x1440p (and yes progressive was the default) Could I get some help here? I am really confused on why this monitor can't downsample while my old 2nd monitor can -.-

I have a VG278HE and I could not get the higher resolutions to work until I dropped the hrz to 60 or below. Never could figure out why, but by the time I tried that I was just so happy it worked that I quit futzing with it. weirdsmiley.gif
