What's the Best 20$ cpu on newegg also questions about cooling vrms and case fans?

Want it to be shop runner available.

I want to keep my vrms as cool as possible since my mobo doesn't have heatsinks, is it worth putting up the 15$ for the heatsinks or could I just ziptie a fan that faces directly onto the vrms, as far as I know I haven't been throttled yet so I'd imagine im not hitting my mobo's thresholds but I want to maximize life out of my mobo since its a 3+1 and with my fx6300 I'm already pushing it? Any recommandations on a decent but not expensive 120mm fan(s), ive already got 2 so should I buy another? And if I should get a fan that'll I ziptie to the sideplate of my case what size should i get, any recommandations on a specific fan? Thanks

Placing a fan to blow on the mosfets directly is good enough but accumulates a lot of dust quickly.
Your board will be full of dust in a week.

I suggest you just buy the enzotech mosfet heatsinks, or if you want to save cash like me,
look for an old videocard or motherboard and use a hacksaw to cut off the heatsink into smaller parts.
You can then buy a thermaltape to stick them on.

the heatsinks of old gpus like geforce4 are small and can be sawn of easily.
northbridge heatsinks are a bit taller and will take more time.

@boinz I can't afford to spend money on another mobo frown.gif, didn't mean to put a question mark there w/e.

I don't mind cleaning up the dust. Which fan would you reccomend to be placed over the vrms? Also anyone got an idea on what's the best 20$ cpu cooler? I don't care about noise, just want performance.

For $20, if you can find it, get the Cooler Master 212+, normally for 29.99 but I think you can find it for 19.99 on ebay

place any 80mm fan directly on top of the mosfets and you're good to go.
Just make sure the fan is positioned close enough, 1 to 2 inches away from the mosfets and chokes.
1000rpm would be good because 2000rpm will blow more dust in.
