Temps i Should be expecting

So i Ran my System on for the first time, just using distilled water, and my Cpu temps on my 8150 stock were about, 29-31c, now this seems a little high, room was kinda hot, and i used a Black Ice GT stealth 240, with a Laing D4 pump and XSPC raystorm. Haven't run prime95 yet, but basically i came from using a hyper 212+ and have seen some improvements, but im looking for at least a 20c difference,

are these temps going to turn bad?

or will it be able to keep the same temps under load, fans push 220cfm through the rad 110 each

From my point of view, this isnot bad even for an idle system : that's roughly the idle temp of my watercooled I7-3770k on idle. I'm pretty sure you will see your 20°C difference when you will stress the CPU with Prime 95.

Hmm, well doesnt my rad require high static pressure? or does it do better with lower rpm, ive never understood how a fan doing lower into a rad could help, with the fins being closer in all. And true, the water will take alot longer to heat up under prime95 i shouldve expected that biggrin.gif but my rads temp was around 24c so my ambient was like 72,

this seem pretty uh, normal to everyone? like i was curious if 25c would be possible with this build when i did it, but i need more rads, and i have 3 more Black ice xtreme 120's that i can loop out of my system. How fruitful would that be? would it really help overall? or just when under load

With today's air cooler idle temps are going to be pretty close. Watercooling really shines when it comes to load temps and lower fan noise.

Well, yes, your radiator is mainly a med to high-speed fan radiator. Being a 30FPI radiator, it will not play well with low-static pressure fan, at least not nearly as good as 10-15FPI radiators. But those low-FPI radiators won't play as good as yours with med to high-static pressure fans. As always, compromises...

What are those fans you're using that can push 110CFM each ? They seem VERY powerful to me, and thus perfect with a high-FPI radiator like your GTS 240. I'm pretty sur you'll have very low temperatures when stressed.
