Ya there's so many little tabs with stuff i would not expect to find there!

Ok il set my voltage to 1.25 fixed when i get home in 2 hours and set my multiplier to 4.4 and post back to results. (i feel like that might BIOSD, but then again im pretty pessimistic at this point, never thought id have so much trouble building and setting up a computer lol!)

i set
internal ppl voltage to disabled,
core voltageto 1.25
and set my core ratio limit to 44..
LLC to lowest level witch for me is 0% (regular)

i have no issues getting into windows. it idles at 1.6 and core voltage reads 1.245-1.192

ran prime 95 for 10 minutes and core voltage droped down to 1.92. with load temps of 49-55-50-50

HOWEVER. my corespeed in cpuz is stll 3800!! i dont know why...hmmm

thats what im looking at

Not Core Ratio Limit - you need to change the OC Tuner to manual (on the AI Tweaker page) and then that opens up a set of option to change the Turbo Multipliers. That's what you want to change.

I'm going off memory from a P8Z77-V BIOS so the names might not be exactly the same (or the BIOS on that board might be slightly different) but it's something like that.

No, you've got the options there on the 4th screenshot. The 1, 2, 3 and 4 core Ratio Limit settings. So even with 44 in there, it still won't go above 3.8? Put CPU Ratio on the CPU Power Management page (3rd screenshot) back to Auto or Default or whatever it normally is.

Sounds like you had it right the first time, and I got the names backwards.

thats correct its still stuck on 3.8 it still shows the multiplyer at 3.8 yet in bios its 44

You might try clearing the CMOS. Not sure why that would make a difference, but I have seen other people here with the same problem you have fix it that way. Then just put your settings back in and go from there.

my cpu did this, I had to reset the cmos 2 times and reset bios settings because cpu-z would show it ramping only to stock clocks and not the overclock.
