I think these sort of options just don't make sense for a game you are paying full price for. I can only see this being suited for F2P games. Sure it give the player options, but really, is it necessary?

How does it not make sense? If there's a market, why not take advantage of it? I too think it's completely illogical to buy that extra crap, but like I said before, if people are willing to do it, more power to them and more money for EA. It's a great business decision. Obviously those that buy that stuff don't care that it's changing their gaming experience.

Heck, at the rate things are going I wouldn't be surprised to see the next gen of consoles come with a coin slot in them...and a matching required piece of hardware for PC gamers.

Surely you know the reason that arcades declined. But again...it truly is up to the consumer and I don't doubt the stupidity of people. But the big question is...when does DLC like a special skin or map not deserve some of the credit for the idea? People need to make money and will look for ways to make it anyway they can.

So they want to continually harass you so you buy their stuff? Disgusting.

Its not like we dont understand that part, but for a single player game that had excellent immersion in the past, this kills it for me. Running up to a shop just to be asked if I want to spend real money to upgrade my equipment ruins the immersion factor for me. They shouldve kept it like in ME3 and use it only for multi

I agree this is terrible and no game should have this garbage, but when blizzard did this in diablo 3 albeit in a different way, it was the fastest selling game ever, and the best selling pc game that year..

Nothing in TF2 is pay to win as far as I know. This is literally paying for in game items that affect game play. Also, they made TF2 free to play while this will be a full retail release.
