Exactly right. Nobody is forcing you to fork out your money for either that ending nor that game in general
. If you're giving money to a company that does something as extreme as that then you're an idiotic consumer and deserve to be exploited. I'm not saying that it's right that they're doing that, but you can't control what that company does, you can only choose what you do with your money.
This debacle in regards to Dead Space 3 is blown out of proportion IMO. If people want to be dumb consumers and pay more money for content that can be obtainable just by playing the game, let them stew in their stupidity. It's not like us (a minority) with all our complaining is going to stop what those consumers or the corporations do. We can only choose what we as individuals do with our own money and be wise consumers.
I really don't see much of any problem with the little micro transactions that EA have put into Dead Space 3. If it doesn't harm the overall experience of the game, why not let them exploit the idiots? It's just good business sense.
