24/7 BUILD STABLE 2 hours Intel image burn and prime95 newest version overnight blend. THESE SETTINGS I NEVER ERROR OR BLUE SCREEN. Idles in the 30's and daily use max 72c cpu and 58c gpu.

Now Ive tried countless hours trying to lower my temps WITHOUT decreasing my 4.7. I do know 4.3 - 4.5 is VERY LOW VOLT CAPABLE, but, I could care less to be honest about degrading cpu. Ive tried lower cpu volt, lower cpu llc, crash on next setting during stress tests. Tried 4.8 crash, upped voltage and llc and it plays, but temps are crazy, so I always end up back at above settings for stability. Also memory I can do 1800 99924 2T, but crash once in awhile. tried higher timeings more volts, crash, tried the dram asus ai settings and crash.

So im really at a loss, came here to get help from you guys, and share my experience so far. You guys rock!!!! BTW, next mod im dellidding the cpu. Also, here is a quick 30 second cheap video of my insides of computer and such. http://s240.beta.photobucket.com/user/ccoop769/media/VID_20130108_170001.mp4.html

Firstly welcome to OCN mate. wave2.gif

you may have just provided me the info I need as I couldn't get 4.7ghz stable with 1.4v so I chickened out. sounds like 1.41v is the target. What are you idle and load temps like if you can advise?

Between each picture says Idle, benchmarks, or intel burn. Underneath each title, has picture of temps. I should of noted that in OP. Also note in BF3, I max out at 67-72c, in 74F ambient room temperature. GPU maxes out at 58-65c under stress with 125 gpu core overclock max voltage. Ill clean up the OP shortly.

That very well may just be the limit of the chip your using. Ivy's are very differant. Some people can hit 5.0ghz others top out at only 4.5, I don't see a problem other then to lower your temps you have to lower your Vcore and in turn lower your OC. Sorry if this is bad news! I have full on custom loop and I can only get 4.7, anything higher BSODs for me. If you really want to lower your temps you can try to delid your CPU! You should get 8-10 degress from that.

Edit: Also just fyi, your temps are in spec for Ivy. They arnt crazy high or anything, but I assume you know this.

Ive hit 5.0, but that was max LLC and had to raise cpu volts to over 1.5. I went higher and higher on cpu volts but honestly doing intelburn it will just overheat, but I can manage do browse windows and such, I noticed higher volts make it steadier in BF3, temps are too crazy but not worth upping the volts. That's when I started doing a few hours of research on delidding, was hoping for avg 15c under load, then try to venture again. Im not ashamed of my system, actually quite proud, just wondering if I can gain any other knowledge that im missing out on. And of course to spread any knowledge I have to other members here. I also noticed windows 8 takes a performance hit on benchmarks. nothing anybody should notice to the eye, but benchmarks dropped slightly.

Well then you have 3 options

1. Delid
2. Custom Loop
3. Both!!!

You arn't missing any major steps or tricks to help with your temp's other then maybe trying to reseat your cpu cooler. I had the same H100 on the same 3570k and I couldn't get past 4.5 without my temps hitting the 90's. If you delid, take pictures!

Another edit: What motherboard are you using? I'm sorry if you posted it already, I may have missed it!

Its in the OP, but asus sabortooth z77. Never took cpu off since new, so it has same stuff that is stock, which I read is high end. I do have artic silver laying around though for when I do delid.

Yup, I did miss it lol. But okay, that board uses good VRM's so that's ruled out. I never used the stock paste on the H100 but I did use AS5, it's not the best in the world. But it's probably better then the Corsair stock stuff. Maybe clean the cpu and try that?
