K so unfortunately it's still happening. Here's what I've done in the past few weeks:
- Like I said before, I thought it was the ram slots so I went and got a new motherboard. Problem still persists.
- Was able to run prime95 for 8 hours as well as memtest with all 16gb ram. No errors on either one.
This leads me to believe my PSU is the problem. It's 3 1/2 years old and is the oldest component in my system.
I'm thinking that my PSU is on its way out and the reason my PC is crashing is the PSU is not able to provide clean power 100% of the time and/or it's randomly spiking. What's weird is sometimes it can go days without crashing as long as I leave my PC on. However, if I turn it off overnight, that's when the crashes start occurring which again leads me to believe it's a power issue. I'd test with another PSU but sadly I don't have a spare.
Any thoughts on this? My concern is that I end up buying a new PSU only to not fix the problem like what happened with my motherboard. I can't be bothered taking apart my new motherboard so I've opted to just keep it, but I don't want to end up wasting money again so I'd like to hear some opinions before I buy something again that might not fix it
