What if I will buy 2 generic 4gb DDR3 1x4gb (single stick ram)same brand,speed, etc.... can i run them on dual channel mode

i want to buy generic because its cheap biggrin.gif

yes, but its all about the timing numbers and speed rating... the lower the 4 digits and higher the frequency the faster it is.... ie 9-9-9-27 1600mhz is slower than 8-8-8-24 1600mhz
and 9-9-9-27 1866 is slower than 8-8-8-24 1600mhz
