Help for my first Overclocking?

Thread Starter
Hi guys!

Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong forum, just joined and wanted to know if it is possible to overclock a AMD A10 - 5700?
Just in case you need my specs:

Nvidia Geforce GT 630 2gb DDR2
AMD A10 - 5700
12gb RAM
WIndows 8 64-bit

I have no idea what to do (no hate) but I have a good idea on how the basics work and im not your typical bloke who just know what a computer is lol.

if I'm not wrong it has a locked multiplier, but yes you can still overclock through BCLK (bus speed?)

That is correct. Can you gimme more info about your motherboard please? Since it has a locked mutiplier then its easier to overclock it in the BIOS.

The GT 630 is quite useless much when considering it's paired with an A10 o_O may wish to replace it with an HD 6670 and run Hybrid Crossfire for more performance.

instead of hating on his choice of processor wouldnt advice be better?
OP - there are some guides on overclocking amd processors in the forums, check through them, although if you are using a stock cooler i wouldnt bother overclocking at all
