please, I need help with my computer problem

Thread Starter
So, first off i'm new to the forums, and i'm not too techie but I do know a little bit... I've got an issue with my computer while playing games (LoL, SC2, Diablo3, Etc..) I get a blue screen at random times in the game and the error code is "0xA0000001". It will also freeze and the screen with go black but 10 seconds or so later it will be back to normal and I can play. I've RMA'd my Mobo, Hard Drive, Ram, and Video Card. I have no clue what the issue is. If anyone knows what is possible i'd love to hear about it and test it out. Here are my specs..

Mobo:MSI 870A G54
Graphics: MSI Radeon 6970 2gig
CPU: AMD Phenom 1090T Black Edition
RAM: 16 gigs of GSKILL RIPJAWS F3-12800CL9T (1 pack of 3 sticks and 1 single stick total of 16 gigs, all same specs)
Corsair: 700Watt PSU

I've read online that the mobo will read the ram at 1333 and not 1600 but when I start my computer up I see it reads at 1600. If i'm not giving enough information let me know. I really just want my computer to run without blue screens. I'm to the point of selling it and taking up knitting with the wife.... X_x

Thanks a bunch for the help in advance and if I don't get any, i'm not out much, only time. thumb.gif

The first thing to do , would be to uninstall your Drivers and do a full reinstall of your GPU Drivers From AMD's Website.

Also Go ahead and fill out the Rig builder makes it easier biggrin.gif !

Welcome to OCN smile.gif

Have you tried running just one stick of RAM? And/or try running just the 3 stick set. RAM is designed to work in matched sets and sometimes, though not often, using unmatched sets can cause issues.

Also have you run Memtest86 and Prime95 to make sure its running stable?

EDIT:

Took the single stick out, and testing it now. I did do a fresh start when I reinstalled windows on my computer. Had to go DL all the new drivers and such. I ran Memtest86+ and it found no errors with the ram itself. I will be baffled if it's the ram, but like I said i'm up for anything now.

What caused it, was this from launching the game or booting or what?

My best guess is its memory related.

I checked the RAM QVL for your board and it looks like it tested ok with G.Skill RAM but it does say that 1600Mhz is only supported though OC not natively.

Try going into the BIOS and forcing 1333Mhz RAM speed (don't leave on Auto).

Also try out the single stick by itself.

This is most likely a memory or driver problem.

Was this code thrown while you had only the single stick of memory in? If so, remove that stick and try another single to see if it happens again.

If not, I would start by running a single stick, and removing all drivers, and getting the most recent from each of the manufacturers websites (not allowing win7 to get them for you).
It's so little!

Thanks Jim. It's been a rough week so I haven't been able to play around with my PC as much as i'd like. I'll start this now so I can hopefully figure this out before SimCity launches.
