No analog (VGA) anymore: Possible to repair?

Thread Starter
It has been 4 days and HISDIGITAL has not answered my support request so I thought I would ask here.

The analog video went out on an HD5850. The DVI, DP and HDMI work fine. I had asked them if they had a flat rate fee to repair something like this where the rest of the video board is working fine. Both DVI connectors fail to provide analog signals anymore. I dont have a DVI or DP monitor but I do have adapters to HDMI and an HDMI tv set. I verified the DVI, DP and HDMI all work fine. It has been 4 days and they have not even read my ticket according to the ticket widget they got.

I am gessing that the cost of the repair might be more than the cost of a DVI monitor. However, I got several systems here and use a dual monitor KVM switch that is analog.

Has anyone repaired something like this where it was not under warranty?

If I got a 2nd one and put it into SLI mode would that one provide analog signal OK?

Thanks for looking!

use something like that? You can find them cheaper on amazon. You'll want an "active display port to dvi" adapter
