Just to make this clear, Im not a saint, but Im no pirate........

With the current gen internet, there's no such thing as privacy?

Anything like those BBS's of yesteryear, but on current gen internet?

And thoughts on Private Internet Access Forums? And even if it was own my own server?

Ive wanted my own online private forums for awhile know, just so much more ya can do VS email.

Any Old School's out there?

Dude!

You know what BBS is but you dont know what Mirc is?

They have 11venty billion rooms/channels, and are very secure. MIRC was created for the sole purpose of having security. Its anonymous as it gets. You can run a channel from your pc.

Few tips.

Now, IF, not that you would or will. BUT, IF you do DL files, you DL them at your own risk. Files may and will contain viruses and trojans.

Pretty much just used the BBS I was on for a forum, and that BBS had its own chat. Given, this back in 90-93', and more than computers on the brain back then.

So, do I call you Mr. Anderson?

I used BBS boards around same time to play games. The type of games where you have to type every action using actual words; "Go straight, open door, etc".

The only thing that is left of old BBS or close to it, at least that i know of, is mIRC. And there are many games on mIRC channels as they were in BBS. There is a lot of things going on mIRC today.

Dude, i have no reason to flame you. Im no Saint, even though my parents unintentionally named me after a biblical Saint, a third century Bishop of Paris, ... tongue.gif

What you do with BBS or mIRC is no business of mine or anyone else.

Just be safe.

The best place to learn on networking is in this forum.

You will get the best help as it gets. They have been around for a long time, as long as Internet has been around. I know the name has DSL in it, but they cover everything.
