So you can take your 460 bencmharks, double the scores because they DO scale 100% in many cases, and then add another 33% because they overclock from 600mhz to 900mhz and don't run all that warm or use too much juice.

Thread. Op get another 460 and report back with benchmarks :-) lol

I have 2 Asus GTX 460's in SLI. I have been using them for well over a year. I bought the second one to hold me over until i'm done building my new rig. I have had no problems with them in SLI. I play most of my games on high to ultra setting with no issues. In my opinion if you can get a 460 on the cheap then do it . They will give you plenty of play time while you wait for the 7xx series.

If you had 460 2GB, you'd be set with another for SLI. I've been rocking my 460 2GB sli and they worked fine until I got my 680. Save the money, sell your 460 and get a 660 2GB and sli later down the road. You can hold off even longer and wait for the 700 series. thumb.gif

£70 = $115 or something like that.

I still say go new tech but we all have different opinions but let me say that I wish you good gaming and no issues with either way you go.
why the thread got somewhat silly with back and forth I wanted to wish you fulfillment in you goal.
you definitely have the CPU strength to negate any micro-stuttering if SLi.
(let's crank up that overclock next.. biggrin.gif )

cheers.
