They're not on the same level. Silverstone and Lian Li are a cut above the rest. While the Fractal Design cases look awesome (I have the original Midi), at the end of the day they are all steel and plastic designed to look like brushed-aluminum.

No one said steel and plastic being used are negatives. It's just that Lian Li and Silverstone use higher quality materials, although this can come with a higher price tag.

The only thing I would change is the smoked window tint :/ I really want just a completely transparent tint that lets me display all my hardware in all its glory... Even if it's getting a little out dated frown.gif

Clearly, but the implication was made about a difference in quality. Lian Li and Silverstone may use a nicer finish or higher quality materials, but I'd hope we are all smart enough to see that this is only part of what makes a good PC enclosure. LL and Silverstone have some gorgeous cases that are functionally useless, especially to those with "enthusiast" systems. Lian Li in particular is notorious for the number of their enclosures with poor to abysmal cooling. When someone is asking if one case is in the same league as another, I look at the total package.

That said, it's true that Foolsmasher only really questioned the aesthetics. Very few cases in the Fractal price range will compete with $150-400 cases using higher-dollar materials for appearance. Since Fractal makes enclosures that are by design understated, versus Silverstone's that are made to look good (especially as media PCs)... I'm thinking apples to oranges here.

I'd like to see a new mini as well, and a new Define mini. My Arc has become increasingly wasted space as I get new stuff.

I think an Arc Mini R2 should be coming within the next month or so. IIRC the Arc Mini (first revision/original) was released a bit after the Arc Midi (original) so they're probably going to release it later. As for a Define Mini, I don't know. Hopefully (and probably if they're going to revise the Arc Mini).
