Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

That Blu-ray writer, covering your SSD will not help, looks like it would sit close to the fans, and be pretty restrictive. IMO

Do you realize that your entire computer will be cooled with only 2x80-92mm fans wth.gif Oh and how does the PSU and GPU breath?

That GPU discharges air into the case more then out. The concept is great, the design is cool looking, just some minor issues to overcome I think thumb.gif

The BluRay drive is a slim so it wouldn't be all that restrictive. As for the card and PSU I have no idea how he plans to cool those.

The slim ODD is about 13mm the SSD is 7mm, that's 20mm with no gap between, If they are 80mm fans that is about 1/4 of it, if not more, covered / restricted.

Edit: SORRY, not meaning to sound rude.

Components would be a GTX 670, and some kind of CPU not really sure yet.

BAH I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU TWO MY DREAMS ARE CRUSHED! No just kidding tongue.gif Designing this I knew the biggest problem was going to be cooling. Infact this is my second variation of the design the first one was fully watercooled but I decided to make it as small as possible and run on air.

Cooling = 1 Intake fan at the bottom of the case, the idea with this one is that it will bring in the cool air and that air will cool the PSU and GPU. Now someone will say, "This isnt enough cold air to cool both these components especially since they are coming from such a small fan!" Well that person would be right it wont be very much air, but it should be enough to keep thing from getting too hot. I know that the components would be running a little warmer than if they were in a perfect case but with this design I couldnt figure anything else out. Then at the top of the case there are two fans exhausting the hot air out so this is why the BluRay Drive doesnt have a major effect on the fans. Of course it still does but compared to if the fans were intakes it is better.

Short form of ^ = 1 intake in bottom of case bringing in cold air to cool PSU and GPU and CPU as the cold (now hot) air travels up the case it is exhausted by two more fans.

Thanks for the comments guys it is really helpful! I will take another look at the model to see if I can change things around but the idea behind this is like a media pc on steroids tongue.gif

EDIT: Here is the watercooled version of it too.

Yeh the WC one has more potential.

With that could you flip the PSU over and have sort of air channel carved out in the wood pedestal?

Kinda so the PSU sucks air in from the back but through the pedestal.

Oh and the bottom rad would probably be best as a dual 80-90 rad as well.

But it sure is original, I like it so much thumb.gif

Here are some dual 80mm Rads and a dual 92 mm rads if you care to use them and not to look for them.

I could do something like this for sure with the PSU, I am not building it yet nor will I be unless I find about 2k or something along those lines lol but the design will continue to be tweaked until I find the perfect design and when that money comes I will do it right away biggrin.gif the only reason why its not a dual rad at the bottom is just due to the size of everything.

Thanks! I will take a look at these for sure!

And I dont actually remember what size of rads I used but I think they were 92mm versions

Thanks for all the ideas and help you two! Rep+ to both of you thumb.gif

Anyways one thing I want to point out before someone tells me about it is the loop order is not really good (actually its really bad) As the res is not above the pump which just means bad things so before someone comments on it I know it is a problem lol and I will fix it later tongue.gif
