Hey guys I started a mATX scratch build and I am currently brain dead.... What could I use for the I/O panel? I really don't want to buy one, but if there is no other way I guess I will have to. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Are you referring to the rear section of the MB where you connect your mouse n KB?

If so it should just have a cutout section. But if you meant the actual alu piece that comes with the MB, maybe something like thin sheet metal. The manu. should have plans and dimensions available

I read your post and proceeded to fall out of my office chair and do an involuntary face plant into my keyboard. Thanks, now I have to walk around work with a Y key stuck to my forehead!
Seriously though.....CARDBOARD? This is a Scratch build thread on OCnet, NOT the redneck's guide to a ghetto-fabulous rig!biggrin.gif

The IO specs dont change, only the layout is Manu specific.

Much the same with boards, they all follow ATX specs for layout and dimensions.

If he is referring to the expansion slots and IO opening then the best place is here..

http://forums.bit-tech.net/showpost.php?p=2613955&postcount=77

Its ATX spec and i have used it extensively.

Its ATX spec and i have used it extensively.

I've found that to be slightly off compared to other dimensions.

EDIT: To clarify, I'm talking about the PCI slots as those seem to not be standard. The I/O plate dimensions are correct though.
