Is this voltage ok for running the amd fx 8350? I've been running it on prime 95, no errors yet, around 60 c CPU socket 50 CPU. It's been 2 hours.

That voltage is ok I think you just want to stay at or below 1.5

Yep, perfectly fine. The standard limit is 1.5 so your good. Your temps are fine too. thumb.gif

Just a question that I've been wondering would the system die if you don't give it enough voltage or is it the other way around?
If you don't have enough voltage for your overclock, you will bluescreen. If you stress it enough and do not ever bluescreen then you should be good to go. I kept getting blue screen during games but I fixed it by upping the voltage a tab.

Not enough voltage and you will get bluescreens because your CPU becomes unstable.
Too much voltage and you burn your CPU.

I think that 4.8 is a good number.

You could try if you want but I wouldn't go much higher on the voltage.
Won't hurt to try it and see if you get decent temps.
Just slowly bump it up as you need.

You could try to bump it up to 5 ghz with the current voltage but if that doesn't work and you still want to try for it bump up the voltage more but try to stay at 1.5v

Ok I'll try that after I'm done stress testing it at 4.8. How long should I keep prime 95 going though?
