It's funny because that's exactly how science works, also since you're bringing up science and peer review, you should try and look into the term "groupthink":

....Loyalty to the group requires individuals to avoid raising controversial issues or alternative solutions, and there is loss of individual creativity, uniqueness and independent thinking. The dysfunctional group dynamics of the "ingroup" produces an "illusion of invulnerability" (an inflated certainty that the right decision has been made). Thus the "ingroup" significantly overrates their own abilities in decision-making, and significantly underates the abilities of their opponents (the "outgroup").

Strange, that's exactly how I would describe people posting about AMD in this thread. At least, what's observed.

those hot fixes are not public, they are not in windows update.

This reminds that Vista was out when Nehalem was out and Nehalem Lost 15% in Vista because the scheduler scrolled the thread across all the cores so it couldn't use it's turbo core correctly.

I took issue with you saying that we should want to reproduce his results. Given that his results contradict all the data that we have, his results are an outlier. Treating an outlier as fact is problematic. I don't think that we shouldn't do more testing, but I also don't think we should try and reproduce his results. I think we should run the tests and see if they affirm our data that's already present or discount the outlier further.

And groupthink does not apply here. My degrees are in sociology, so I know a thing or two about groupthink. Groupthink is where people act a certain way, hold a set of beliefs, or accept something as fact, conforming to a specific set of norms of behavior and/or thought even when it's irrational, unsupported by evidence, or contrary to their own best interest because they're afraid of being censured by their own in group and because it eases group interactions.

Before and after benches? And do you have anything other than a Passmark bench? Passmark isn't exactly the most respected benchmark out there.

There are only two fair ways to benchmarking: stock clock, and max OC clock. If either of these happen to land on the same clock speed for both chips, then yes, you should bench them at the same clock speed. You should NEVER do this just for the sake of benching at the same clock speed, unless you specifically want to know the IPC. IPC =/= performance.

I'm not saying that FX-8350 will win against the i5 3570K under these rules, but the benchmarkers whom follow these rules are the only ones I trust.

So I have a solution since every site that shows AMD in good light is deemed not credible, then how bout we use our own rigs to find the truth?

Its very simple idea, we get some one with a 3570K and another with a 8350 bench them both with single GPU and multi GPU setups, and then post the results for everyone here on OCN to find out the truth once and for all.......Oh wait that already happened and was deemed not credible as well. rolleyes.gif
